Evicor AG supplies a wide range of high-grade base oils worldwide. Pour point, viscosity, viscosity index and purity are four physical properties that describe base oils and dictate how they will perform as lubricants. API classifies base oils into 5 groups according to their ingredients and performance.

Our portfolio consists of 4 groups that are able to satisfy all consumers’ requirements. All items meet high API standards.

  • The solvent neutrals– base oils of the first group are notable for their volatile viscosity. The variety of lubricants with different chemical characteristics gives the opportunity to select the suitable one for any industrial and commercial purposes as well. The main application of the solvent neutrals is production of different oils (motor engine or transmission ones).
  • The second groupof base oils has a higher viscosity index (VI) and lower sulphur content. These base oils are used for production of qualitative PVL, CVL and industrial lubricants. Group II base oils have less intense color and odour.
  • Group IIIoils are growing in use as fuel economy lubricants become more important. The big difference between Group II and III is that Group III has a VI of 120 or greater. Base oils of Group III are widely used also as industrial lubricants. Consumers worldwide could count on Evicor as the reliable supplier of the high-grade feedstocks they need for synthetic formulations.
  • Group IVconsists of polyalphaolefins (PAOs), which are the traditional synthetic stocks. PAO base oils are suitable for productions of lubricants which are used in extremely severe conditions. The use of these oils is limited because of high costs and availability of feedstocks.
